About Me

Beginning Your Own Business

My name is Harry and this is my first blog. I live in Perth with my wife and our pet dog. I am 53 years old and for the last 20 years, I have worked at the local auto repair and manufacturing plant. Working on the shop floor can be a lot of fun but after 2 decades, I have grown a little tired of it all. My brother-in-law suggested I think about starting my own business making and repairing specialist auto parts. I explained that you could fit my knowledge of business onto the back of a stamp. He said that he could fix that and invited me to spend 6 months tour his different businesses to see how they work. I learnt so much that I just had to share it with the rest of the world.

4 Reasons to Choose Vehicle Wraps Over Magnetised Signs

Vehicle signage is a great way to get your name out there and attract new business. Of course, there's more than just one option, and business owners often find themselves struggling to choose between vehicle wraps and magnetised signs.

Here are just four reasons why you should go for vehicle wraps.

1. More Complete Coverage

The main benefit that car wraps hold over magnetised signs is that they can cover more of the vehicle. A magnetic sign will usually be designed to cover only a small section, and they can only be applied to a flat surface. In contrast, a wrap can be applied right around your vehicle. That provides a more eye-catching appearance, and it means that people will be able to see your message from any angle. Since vehicle signage is all about visibility, the option for wider coverage is clearly a huge plus.

2. Neater Appearance

The fact that magnetised vehicle signs can be removed is really something of a drawback. While a vehicle wrap will be applied by a professional to ensure everything is perfect, magnetised signs can be taken on and off by your staff. They probably won't be too careful, so your vehicles could end up with wonky signs. That might not sound like a big deal, but it won't cast your business in a particularly good light.

3. Less Risk of Damage

It's true that car wraps can damage your vehicle, but only when they are applied incorrectly. Get a professional to do the job instead of handling it yourself, and you're sure to end up without any damage. Unfortunately, the same isn't true of magnetised signs. When dust and dirt form on the area you place the sign, scratches can develop. This means you'll need to ask your staff to wipe down the area thoroughly before replacing the sign. In extreme heat, magnets can even start to melt onto the vehicle.

4. Added Security

While a thief or vandal could technically remove your car wrap, they'd have to be extremely motivated to bother. Not so when you're dealing with a magnetised vehicle sign. Someone will be able to whip it off with ease, meaning the sign will need to be replaced. That can be bothersome, but it's an even more important flaw when you consider that vehicles with magnetised signs are seen as better targets for theft. A thief can simply remove the signs to have the vehicle looking like any other. That's not an option when a vehicle wrap has been applied.
