About Me

Beginning Your Own Business

My name is Harry and this is my first blog. I live in Perth with my wife and our pet dog. I am 53 years old and for the last 20 years, I have worked at the local auto repair and manufacturing plant. Working on the shop floor can be a lot of fun but after 2 decades, I have grown a little tired of it all. My brother-in-law suggested I think about starting my own business making and repairing specialist auto parts. I explained that you could fit my knowledge of business onto the back of a stamp. He said that he could fix that and invited me to spend 6 months tour his different businesses to see how they work. I learnt so much that I just had to share it with the rest of the world.

Is It Time To Transition To Fibre Cement Cladding?

When the exterior of your house has started to detract from the overall kerb appeal of your residence, your first instinct is probably hiring a contractor for a new paint job. Although the fresh coat of paint will help with dressing up the appearance of the property, it is only a matter of time before you would need to have the property repainted due to exposure to the same elements that caused the degradation in the first place.

The best option to consider if you are looking for a long-term solution is to invest in cladding. While cladding has been primarily available in materials such as timber, brick and metal, there has been a steady shift towards fibre cement supplies. Read on to learn why you should consider transitioning to fibre cement cladding.

Versatility

When some people think of fibre cement, they envision a bland and grey coloured material that is more functional rather than aesthetically appealing. Although some fibre cement products are solely utilised for their functional properties, fibre cement cladding is supposed to enhance the aesthetic value of a property. With that in mind, you do not have to worry about this material detracting from the allure of your home.

Instead, the versatility of this material means you have the creative freedom to choose a style that will complement the inherent charm of the property. For starters, the fibre cement can be finished in a vast range of textures that will add tactile interest to the walls. Not to mention that you have the option of mimicking other cladding supplies such as the appearance of natural stone if your property is characterised by this influence.

Longevity

Granted, cladding does help with elevating the appearance of a property by transforming the aesthetic of the exterior walls. Nonetheless, visual appeal is not the only driving force behind the popularity of fibre cement cladding. When compared to most other cladding products in the market, fibre cement has a proven track record of offering unparalleled longevity irrespective of the ambient climatic conditions of your location.

As long as the fibre cement is installed and cured professionally, it has a heightened resistance against precipitation and extreme temperature changes. Moreover, fibre cement is resistant to termites and a range of other pests that are known for infesting and degrading its timber counterpart.

In addition to the above-mentioned benefits, fibre cement cladding products are fire-resistant, which is invaluable if your area experiences the occasional bushfire. Furthermore, these products are straightforward to install when done by professionals and quite easy to maintain for the long term.
